We have been doing this for a bit and I thought it would be a good idea to share the details.
This equinox cycle always means a lot of changes for the planet. Last year we were on a “new” or “red” equinox cycle, and this year we are on a “new” or “green” equinox cycle.
Green equinox is the year we start to see significant changes in the atmosphere and the seasons. Last year our planet had an average annual temperature of -1.8 degrees. This year it’s expected to be around -4 degrees, and we may see some colder weather in the future.
We haven’t seen the actual climate change yet, but we know that it will be greater for sure. These are the changes that we will expect to see throughout the year. A big part of that change is a change in the seasons. We are currently on a four-month, or roughly, green equinox cycle. That means that we will be living through April and May, which are the hottest months on Earth.

The first equinox is October 21st, then November 21st, then December 21st, and so on. This means that the end of the equinox will be on January 21st, and it will still be a day colder than the beginning.

The equinoxes are one of the most important times for meteor showers and as such, we want to be one of the most observant people in the world to be able to see the full array of meteors that make up the shower. So we thought we would take advantage of a rare opportunity to see the shower ourselves while we were here.
For our little stunt we took all of the gear we were wearing, all of our cellphones, and a couple of laptops and headed to the mountains of Utah. It was a good way to test out the meteor shower and our ability to stay connected. And it was an opportunity to grab some of the best views you will ever see.
We got there in no time, but the clouds were really thick this year. We were lucky to see the moon rise over the center of Utah, but we couldn’t actually see the lunar eclipse. Even though it was in the sky, it’s only visible to the naked eye at night. We ended up looking at the moon while in the clouds, so we weren’t in total darkness.
We werent at all lucky, but the moon rose over the center of Utah, and that is still a pretty good chance for a view of the full moon, so we ended up seeing it. The eclipse was in the shadow of the Moon, so we got our first look at the lunar eclipse, and it was really good.
